How do i find out what radar detector i need?

I’m going to be flying from Dallas to Albuquerque here in a few weeks and renting a car from there to drive to Red River to Ski. I wont be checking any bags because of the fees, instead, my friend is going to be driving to Red River from Dallas so he is going to be taking my bags. I want my radar detector when I land, rent and drive up there. Does anyone know if I can take my radar detector on the plane with me?
I need it for the car drive after I land. Not to use on the airplane…

I live in st.louis area and i dont know what radar detector to get yet. I would consider the valentines but they too expensive. If anyone can suggest a radar detector for under 100 bucks that be good.

I have a Beltronics RX65 radar detector. I still have the stock coiled cord that goes into the cigarette lighter, I also bought a direct wire kit. I would love to connect the 2 wires together, is that possible or do I need to connect to a live wire under the dash?

I’m looking into buying a radar detector and need to know what to look for so I don’t throw money away on a useless piece of equipment.

How do Radar Guns work that they alert the Radar Detector ahead of time giving you a chance to slow down?

Is there any way you can get away with having a laser jammer in your car in a state it’s illegal in or will the police officer immediately know what’s going on the second his laser gives him Null results?

I am looking to upgrade my GPS and my fiance wants a radar detector for christmas. I got to thinking that having an all in one unit would be awesome. They have to exist, right? Does anyone know where I could find them?

I am going to be purchasing a 2004 Acura TL, hopefully soon. I test drove one in which the previous owner had installed a radar detector cord through the roof, so that he could mount the detector next to the rearview mirror. I’m not purchasing that particular car. Should I do this installation myself? Or, where can I have it done? Any of you ever done this before? Thanks. Also, and other customizations that you would reccommend for this car?

What radar is good and can be bougth from stores not online. I need a good radar detector because its good to have for some emergencies (family problems) Please help thanks.
